The closing ceremony of the Qualifying Coxswain Series 02/2018 and Advance Marine Signaller Series 2019 was held at the Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Center, Muara Naval Base.
The guest of honor for the event was Commander Haji Edy Jofren Bin Pehin Penglima Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, Commanding Officer of KDB DARULEHSAN. Also present during the ceremony were invited RBN officers, Navy Sergeant Major, Instructors of Training Centre of the Royal Brunei Navy and Training Institute and the Senior Ranks.
A total of 14 participants attended the Qualifying Coxswain Course Series 02/2018 which was organized by Naval Training Center Royal Brunei Navy and 5 participants from Advanced Marine Signaller Course Series 2019. Qualifying Coxswain courses began on 17 September 2018 until March 29, 2019 and Advanced Marine Signaller Course started on 04th February 2019 until 29 of March 2019 which was organized by DCI/RBTS. Both courses are mandatory and generic course to Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for Petty Officers and Leading Hand in accordance with the structure and career development of RBAF.
For Qualifying Coxswain the course aims to produce Petty Officers with the ability and quality as a specialist in ship handling and to qualify them as future Chief Bosun Mate. While the Advance Marine Signaller course aims to enhance the knowledge of communication to execute the duties of Chief Communication of the ships and carry out the maintenance of the system. Both Courses contributes towards the Royal Brunei Navy organization’s operational goals.
The ceremony started with a recital of doa and followed by certificate presentation to the participants.
